In the Come Follow Me lesson for week June 22-28, there is a subsection that says "One way to study the events in Alma 18-22 is to look for the far-reaching effects of one person bearing his or her testimony. Maybe could you record what you find in a diagram like this one:
"Ammon shared the gospel with ________________, who shared the gospel with _____________________________________, and the result was _________________________.
As I was pondering that activity, I thought it would be awesome to personalize it, and include some family history. Who was the very first that was converted in your family? This may be easier to discover if you have a lineage of the priesthood in your family, but going through stories even back to the early days of the church would likely provide a story that has clearly affected your family for generations. Because the church is fairly young, and started so small, some families will not have to go back very far to find that initial spark! Some individuals are their own pioneers! Some are the very first that will have that testimony that clearly has far-reaching influence.

Object lesson: Our individual purposes were prepared before this world
This object lesson goes along with Alma 13:3 (which cross references D&C
138:56) both which discuss being called and prepared in the spirit
world. We are making bread (but you can bake anything else) to
illustrate how we each have our own individual contributions. We came
prepared to preform our individual purposes. We go through each
ingredient, and it's fascinating to see how ingredients act with each
other, but have their own function, to create one great whole.
I found a list of "Functions of Baking Ingredients" which is absolutely fascinating. I'm providing the link so you could grab any ingredient you wanted to use for your baking project if you did not want to make bread. Bread is just fun because you can use it for the sacrament and lead into further discussion about Priesthood Ordinances, which is another topic discussed this week.

If we will not harden our hearts, we can receive more of the word of God.
Alma taught in Alma 12: 10-11
10: And therefore, he that will harden his heart, the same receiveth the lesser portion of the word; and he that will not harden his heart, to him is given the greater portion of the word, until it is given unto him to know the mysteries of God until he know them in full.
(According to Neil A. Maxwell, "There is nothing more than that!")
11: And they that will harden their hearts, to them is given the lesser portion of the word until they know nothing concerning his mysteries; and then they are taken captive by the devil....
This is an object lesson with a balloon, and how if our hearts are soft (or not hardened) we can receive more of the word of God.

Object Lesson for a Mighty Change of Heart
A simple object lesson talking about the power of the scriptures and how it can change our hearts. We can gauge the condition of our heart by using Alma chapter 5 questions (which start in verse 14)
It's really easy, and all you need is water and ice.
Enjoy.

Object Lesson for Recognizing Deception
This object lesson relates to Come Follow Me Lesson May 25-31, subheading "We can recognize and reject false teachings"
In Alma 1, Nehor is introduced. He is trying to corrupt the people of the city. He teaches 'truth', but not the whole truth. He deceives others by only choosing certain parts of the truth to teach. The things that Nehor teaches in verse 4 are actually true, but he just omitted many 'plain and precious truths'.
This video is meant not to just be shown the kids, but for the parent or teacher to preform. 🙂 The first video is the lesson, and the second is a tutorial on the magic trick used.
Below are the documents I used in the magic trick and for the lesson. On the Nehor page, I used his exact words from verse 4, but then inserted the truth he had decided to omit. The scripture references for what was inserted is under Christs Teachings.
The only exception to that rule is in vs 3. The word "sustained" is more appropriate than Nehor's teaching that we need to support our priests and leaders through money. Though I do not have a scripture reference for this truth, there are many in modern day scripture general conference talks.

ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end
all men should have eternal life .
